Access

Kamiyamada in Nagano Prefecture is a hot spring resort rich in nature that stretches along the Chikuma River. It is easily accessible from Nagano City and Ueda City, where you can enjoy the seasonal scenery surrounded by beautiful mountains and the historic hot-spring cure culture.

From Tokyo Station, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Ueda Station (approx. 90 min.)

Access to Nagano is now even more convenient with the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line from Kanazawa and Toyama.
Also, access by car is comfortable via the Chuo Expressway and Kanetsu Expressway. Free shuttle bus service is available from Togura Station. (Reservations required)

From Tokyo Station to Ueda Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line takes approx. 90 min (from Matsumoto direction, the nearest station is Obasute Station).
From Shin-Osaka Station, take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Nagoya Station and transfer to the Chuo Main Line Express to Nagano Station (approx. 220 min).
From Niigata Station to Nagano Station, approx. 90 min on the Joetsu Shinkansen and Hokuriku Shinkansen.
From Kanazawa Station to Nagano Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line: approx. 65 min, from Toyama Station: approx. 48 min, from Joetsu Station: approx. 16 min.
To Togura Station, approx. 26 min from Nagano Station, approx. 12 min from Shinanoi Station by "Shinano Railway".

From Nagoya / Osaka area (via Meishin Expressway), Chuo Expressway → approx. 15 min from Obasute SA Smart Exit (approx. 20 min from Koshoku IC on Nagano Expressway)
From Niigata, Kanazawa, Toyama (via Hokuriku Expressway), Joetsu Expressway → approx. 20 min. from Koshoku IC.
